Pride Pioneers Finish 2nd in Nation!
Tuesday, October 31, 2006

The Nashua Pride Pioneers return from Florida after a succesful National Championship appearance. The Pioneers went 6-1 only losing the final to fellow New Englanders, the BoSox. The team played 7 games in 4 days and showed extraordinary team spirit defeating teams from Chicago, Orlando, New York and the West Coast.
Defensively, the Pioneers had less than 10 runs scored against them coming into the final; with every pitcher stepping up in crunch situations and getting balls in play for a great defense to make the outs.
Offensively, the team scored 10 runs all but 2 games. Three players hit over .500 and several picked up almost 5 stolen bases!
"The whole coaching staff is so proud of the girls and their efforts this week." said Coach Perrone. "We weren't sure what to expect coming down to this tournament, but we prepared well and every aspect of the team did their job."
