Congratulations NAWBL Champions Saturday, September 1, 2007 Congratulations to the Outlaws who won the North American Women's Baseball League Championship in a well fought Final against the Seahawks on the weekend.The Outlaws beat the Seahawks 10-3. The Seahawks took the lead early, leading 3-2 into the 4th inning. But, the Outlaws defense held out, allowing only 1 other run in the next 3 innings. Lyndsey Davis started for the Seahawks against the Outlaws Katie Cleary. Davis picked up the loss for the Seahawks, and Cleary the win. Congratulations also to the following players who earned the following award at the NAWBL banquet following the championship game: MVP- Katie Cleary Offensive Player of the Year- Naomi Greckol-Herlich Defensive Player of the Year- Emily Hunt Pitcher of the Year- Courtney Duggan Senior Rookie of the Year- Heather Cassidy Junior Rookie of the Year- Erika Fotino Most Impoved Player of the Year- Megan Sudak Coaches Award- Alex McCaffrey |
